Largest HDD for R31?

I am upgrading the HDD on my r31 (which I have to say I really have enjoyed) because the 30 gig drive is full. I wondered what the largest HDD I can put in the machine is. Anyone know the answer? I want to put an 80 gig drive in (saw a great deal at CompUSA.com) and I have all of the original install disks. Any advice appreciated.

I think 80 gig is the largest i know of. I did read somewhere of a 100-120 gig laptop drive, but have yet to find it.
I think the 80 is @ 5400 rpm

R31 HDD Question

Thanks for the reply. I was more wondering about if IBM had a limit on the size. I saw something on the Thinkpad web site about a 60 gig or 80 gig drive being the largest (gig wise) allowed for r31's. Since this is out of warentee I can't call and ask.

Thanks again!!

Ibm does not have a size limit to what hard drive you can put in their machine, they are just showing what they are offering for their think pads; there are always other options.
