Ferrari 4000 Benchmarks and a single problem.

Hi there...

I tried overclocking my Ferrari's 4000 ATI card... I'm currently using the stock drivers. I tried using the Catalyst 5.8 Mobility Drivers but... it screwed up one particular game of mine... Ballistics... Kinda old... Anyway...

After overclocking I got:

2328 - 3DMark05
6228 - 3DMark03

I used the ATI tool... Overclocked my core to 375...Memory to 351...
Are the results believable? just worried there might be some problems...

Also, anyone here having problems running Half-life 2? I can't get it to run... Hangs at the loading screen. Counter-strike Source runs alright though. Weird.

Using Mobility Catalyst 5.8:
Stock settings (358/331) .................... 2.581
OC w/ATI Tray Tool 5% (375/348) ....... 2.696 (Stable)
OC w/ATI Tray Tool 10% (394/365) ..... 2.808 (Stable)
@ 415/382 i got artifacts, then whatever... i'm running @ stock and it runs smooth.

Well I got my Ferrari about a week ago and this is what my benchmarks were so far.

I had a problem getting the Omega drivers to install correctly so I gave up on that and installed Cat 5.8.

Stock setting with 512MB PC2700 Ram (stock drivers) in 3DMark05 gave me 2345

No Overclocking with 512MB PC2700 Ram (Cat 5.8) in 3DMark05 gave me 2590 (kinda suprising isn't it)

I just upgraded to 2GB PC3200 Ram, I will benchmark this tonight and post my results when I get the chance.

I am happy with the speed so I am not sure if I want to oveclock at all, but I may try just to see what the lappy can do.

P.S. I undervolted with RMClock 4x at 0.925V and 10x at 1.275V (both settings are stable, at 0.900V the lappy immediately froze and I tried 1.250 but it wasn't stable). I have consistently gotten 3.5 hours of battery life with brightness at 60% and Wifi on. I turned wifi off and brightness to lowest setting and the indicator said it would get 4:10 hours, but I did not test it completely down to nothing. I am so happy with my purchase so far. I am amazed that I got such a great deal on this baby. Oh yeah, the DVD+RW drive works like a frickin charm!!!!!
