Building a z70va

Thread Starter
I am building a z70va. I have found a couple of vendors, but they are sold out until later in the month. Does anyone have a source where I can get one sooner?

Xmeld has it by the 25th but they are very expensive. Anyone have a good source? Maybe a little cheaper than $900?

I also wanted to know if anyone was able to pin mod on the this version?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks strossos.

I had checked them out a couple weeks ago when I first got interested in the z70va. Any particular reason this type doesn't come with bluetooth? It this another variation? Also I have read about this notebook might be debutting with DVI in the future, is this rumour reliable?

for some reason, Asus is rolling out the different versions when they get them. Yes, the next shipment should have internal bluetooth, and the shipment after that should have DVI. I'm getting this information from Justin of PROPortable, one of Asus' top US resellers, who posted it on the Asus forums at Notebook Review.

Hmmmm istnc...The company that refuses to call me back and take my $2300 for a maxed out Z70Va, the company that has no showroom.
No thanks.

I have a nearby store that I buy from: Beyond PC. They are always curteous and they have been taking extra steps to try and find me one with bluetooth that I can get by the end of next week; so far, no luck. I have been searching for an online vendor that would have bluetooth and where I can order now so I could possibly get for early next week.
Has anyone had a good customer service experience about istnc? I have seen that company's name dropped a few times here at the forum.

Still waiting for a success story about pin modding the z70va.

DVI is called off. So no more. Too bad. Sorry. ProPortable said that it was called off until the next model for next year. I think I wrote something somewhere about this a long time ago.

yay! Now I won't feel like I missed out by ordering a non-bt vga model. The bt turned out to be a dongle (at least the ones from g2p), and the DVI is called off. I'm glad I'm impatient

http://www.resellerratings.com/seller9617.html is their listing on Reseller Ratings. I've had a good experience with them. Although they're a bit harder to get a hold of recently (I can't seem to get the "live chat" feature on their website to work), both Rick & Gwen (Owners, CEO & CFO respectively) have responded promptly to e-mails I've sent them, and they were very helpful and informative both before (the easy part) and after (the real test) I bought my Z71v from them.

I've had nothing but good service with them. Answered all the questions I've asked. No complaints here. I haven't gotten my lappy just yet, but should be here tomorrow like they said, so thus far they have been perfect.

Well the internal ones will be coming out the same time everyone else gets them. ProPortable has the same ones, but they've got internal modules that seems to be a bitch to install (you have to remove the whole motherboard out). I guess Geared2Play doesn't want to go that route, I wouldn't either.
The Internal BT version should be out soon.

I have pin modded my z70va as well. 1.7 @ 2.26, but could only drop to 1.324v for full stability. 800mhz is at .748v

If I only run 1, it reboots. If I run them both my computer doesn't reboot.

That's weird, my reply is not being attached to the end of the thread... ?
