I have a m6bne with the omega catalyst drivers version 5.7. i bought an acer 19" external lcd display about 2 months ago, and it had been working fine in a dual-monitor setup until a few days ago when the external monitor would flicker on and off every once in a while. now, the problem has worsened to the point where most of the time the monitor will fail to even detect the signal from the laptop. it's not an issue with the monitor because i used the monitor on my friend's desktop and it works fine, and it's not the cable either. I believe it's a laptop issue because i tried other monitors and they did not work either. i know that the laptop detects the vga cable in the vga-out port because the laptop's monitor switch hotkey won't let me switch from "lcd only" mode to crt or crt+lcd when there's no cable in the port. is it a video driver issue? i haven't touched the drivers since i got the monitor so i don't think that should be the problem... any ideas?
