Couple of questions about my new M3438G and one about SiSoftware Sandra

Firstly, i love it, looks amazing and packed with features!!!
Right the questions...

1) The area around the wrist pad/touchpad is quite warm, the battery is new and charging so thought this might be adding to it but is this normal. (I do have a Dell D600 which gets hot too)

2) I have installed SiSoftware Sandra (Lite) and want to measure temperature, I assume this is done using the Environment Monitor Wizard but when I run it I just get the error message 'no environment monitors detected' so not sure if I am doing something wrong

Cheers in advance

1) It is normal, even without the battery in.

2) I haven't used Sandra for a while, but you could try Everest, it works for me.

Using everest im only able to pick up the HD and GFX temps, how do I get the CPU temps?

That's weird, Everest could see all my temps right out of the box. Anyway, I also keep track of my CPU with Centrino Hardware Control, give it a shot:

I was looking for that prog anyways, thanks!

Right that prog worked nicely, reports my cpu temp as around 45, so thats fine by me.

Ehm, im having trouble with keeping the cpu clock at 2ghz on battery, I need this to play games, by default it steps down to 800Mhz, people say to change the profile to "Always On", did this but still was only able to get 1.6Ghz, id like the full wham.

Using that program, I was able to set minimums, but even with that max I got was 1.8Ghz, has anyone figured out how to maintain 2Ghz on battery with the M3438G?
