Know that an M70 = a Latitude D810+

M20 = Latitude ???+

Do they still have Inspiron versions on same platforms as the Latitudes?

Got mine today and it sure seems brand new to me. Typing this on it right now. Haven't had time to take pics yet but will do in the next day or two. Everything works great and haven't detected any dead pixels yet. Will post more later, going to bed now!

The Precision M20 is CAD-optimized version of the Latitude D610, with a 14.1" conventional aspect ratio screen. Its gpu is the ATI Mobility FireGL V3100 w/ 64MB VRAM which is CAD-optimized from the same core as the ATI X300 (i.e slightly slower but with more emphasis on quality of drawing and stability). It is to the D610 what the M70 is to the D810, with a 15.4" wide screen: but unlike the M70, the M20's gpu is for gaming slightly inferior to its Latitude equivalent rather than markedly superior (the M70's Nvidia QuadroFX Go 1400 is a much more powerful gpu to the the X600 of the D810, the gpu's of the M20 and the D610 are based on the same gpu core). There's a good review here: http://www.notebookreview.com/defaul...orkstation+M20.
There is no Inspiron equivalent to the M20 / D610. The nearest Inspiron equivalent to the D810 is the i6000, but only very roughly.

Anyone knows if those 1150$ m20's that were in outlet recently come with the 10 pin cable supplied for TM350? I am about to buy such a card though I am not sure wheter I should also buy a cable for it. I am pretty sure I read somwhere that newer Dell lappies come with that cable and that was including m20. If you're not sure what cable I am talking about, check this ebay action: click

Thanks in advance

Can you compare the m20 to the 600m with the same specs (maybe a little less on the processor)? Who would be better? My friend has a 600m: pm-2.0 sxga+ 512 mb ram 60gm 5400rbm hdd xp home 8x dvd=/- RW dual layer capable 6 cell bat, warranty: 4 year complete care, north american something..... Who's would be better? And why?

The build quality of the M20 will be similar to the Latitudes (Magnesium alloy case etc). That is usually much better than the inspirons (plastic).

Question: Will the M20 come in silver or just gray?

I just received my M20 from the outlet and verified that the Bluetooth cable is already there. So there is no need to order one. Enjoy your new laptop.

Not sure how to answer that. It looks to be the same color as the images Dell's website. Compared to my i8600 it looks Silver. My i8600 has a darker grey case and a silver LCD lid. The M20 is the same color as the top(back) of the i8600's LCD.

I'll say Silver. I think the Inspiron line comes in the slightly darker grey.

Hope that helped.

I ordered mine on the 4th and received it on the 5th with 3-5 day shipping. Keep in mind I live in Tx so depending on the item I usally get it next day no matter what. Assuming it ships from a Tx location.

Have you got your tracking number or have they not even shipped it yet?

Sorry to hear about your delay.

I live in CT and also used 3-5 day shipping, they shipped it (as they say) on the 4th and they didn't give me a tracking number, just a customer number and an order number.
