Considering I didn't purchase this as an investment, I don't really care whether or not Dell offers coupons.

Simply put, let them review and decide. If in the end you don't like the new pricing, then you can declare that with your wallet! The coupons are not really going away, nearly everyone uses them now to compete, and they are popular. However if you bought your laptop for 50% off list price, they might have an issue with discounts and coupons that allowed that to exist. So you'll still save, they just don't want to discount as much as they did before.
