Ethernet drivers not found - only sometimes though ??

OK, this is weird. I've never seen anything like this before, but I talked some of my tech support buddies here at work and they said that they have heard of it. I just got a new 5680 and i loaded Win XP Pro on it. I installed all of my drivers and everything went really smooth, except for my ethernet controller. I loaded the drivers for it, but it only works about one fourth of the time. 3 out of 4 times when I start my system, I get a message saying that Windows has found new hardware and would l like to located the drivers for it. If I try to load the drivers for it, it says it can't load any drivers yada yada yada... So I just now click cancel to close the window. Now 1/4th of the time, I don't get that windows asking to locate drivers and my drivers are all working great, in my Device Manager I see the NIC listed as it should. Then the next time I restart, I get that darn message again saying I have new hardware. I've reinstalled Windows and still I get the same message. I have a back up ethernet cardbus and most of the time I use my wireless card at home, but I'd like to be able to use the ethernet in the computer. Any clue about this?

Please do a search. There appears to be a problem on the mobo of certain 5680s that has to be fixed via SAGER.
