hp dv1311se dead - Page 2

Also.. Re-worked a washer?? They do NOT do component level repairs so I'd tend to think they are having some sort of shield shorting issue going on. The fact it came back and worked for a while tells me theyre aware of it but didnt completely repair. If the boards are back ordered? I'd say they have MAJOR problems brewing on this model. I'll start stocking parts boards and do some cross comparisons.. These are Integrated Video so thats at least not another repeat of the X1000 video card failure.. Its also Centrino so it wont be Thermal related like the ZD,ZV,ZX Series Power hogs an the jack problems.. Good luck all.

all of the ones i have seen have been completely dead... no power at all. try all the regular and it just fails to turn on. i have stopped seeing them come in though now so hopefully it was just a bad batch of them...

Dead sounds like shorted FET.. Or perhaps BIOS chip issues. Dont toss the boards we will bu them if youre replacing as opposed to repair.
