Lol another thing I will be trying, distro of choice for me are Ubuntu or Fedora, there pretty simple and seem to have a wide support base plus support most hardware.

Not come across Ubuntu, where you from Exergy ?
I usually use SUSE cos its similar to HP-UX which I use at work

Im from Nottingham, www.ubuntu.com its based on Debian, making it a distro of a distro I guess lol.

Its a single CD download which is nice, and features most of the best of debian such as apt-get. Give it a try.

Lived in Derby(shire) all my life, though, about 9 or 10 miles away from the city of Notts.

Yes, I have it working, Fedora Core 4.

Required that you use the following command to boot the install cd:

linux acpi=off nofb

Only problem so far is I cant get the sound working, any help would be appreaciated.

Does PowerCinema still work as when I tried to install SUSE it overwrote it in boot sector ?

I think there are some drivers for the audio on Realtek website, might be worth a try.

Any bugs or probs ?

Couldnt tell you about powercinema havent tried it yet, imagine it wouldnt work straight off, as grub overwrites the mbr as you said.

Would imagine it would be possible with some tweaking havent tried as such yet.

As for fedora, no problems other than the audio and the fact that 1440x900 doesnt seem to be supported. Currently using like 1280x800, looks fine, would imagine 1440 is accomplishable with a little work.

I only installed like yesterday, and ive been at work today so havent had much time to mess around yet.
