It sure will be nice to see some street benchmarks.

Also it appears that with the 7800 you will be able to download nvidias drivers directly without any of the mobile modding req.

No way I'm giving that many money for a notebook. The D900T is already enough for VS.net, since I prefer to play games on the desktop. In 1-2 years I buy another notebook, I'll see.

Now that would be really nice.

The 7800GTX Go is a 20 pipe card not a 16 pipe. Also with the core only at 400, I am betting there is plenty of O/Cing Headroom.

Any word on a release date for these two cards?

Should there be any noticable difference in applications like 3ds Max or Maya between 6800ultra and 7800gtx?
I still didnt buy my 9880, and im not sure what to do, i am hopefuly going to use it for modelling rather than gaming, but i wouldnt like to suffer much in that field if i were to get a quadro.
But still, even if the first two mentioned cards would give the same performance in Max, id wait for the 7800gtx, and boost the gaming capabilities a bit...

I think a dualcore AMD processor will help you out more so than the upgraded vid card pailhead. I know 3DS is multithreaded, not sure about maya (but I would bet it is also).

Rendering in max is multithreaded, im not sure about the other calculations it does. But when you work, model, texture, map and stuff you dont really benefit much from multithreading.

Im not sure if i can even wait till mid october, but i definitely cant wait for mid november and 9750. Also, i dont really think that i need that much power in a laptop, or to give so much money for it, i still have my main desktop workstation.

Im not really sure what to do, quadro fx benefits from killer driver support, but at home, i am probably going to use the laptop for gaming rather than work.
