ZD8000 Cooling Problems...?!

I'm extremely close to buying a jacked-up ZD8000. However, these cooling problems I'm hearing about... Does it get hot enough that it poses a threat to the actual computer? Will the ****er ever burn itself broken?

Also, if it's really hot, and I'm done using it... What happens if I shut the screen and it makes contact with the hot areas?

Also, how long would you estimate the battery life? I found a deal where it has a free second battery included, so I'm guessing carying a spare will make it moore worthwile.

haha dont worry bout those post. u should see how long i keep my comp on and play games. i spend hours online chattin, surfin the web while gaming too. i forget to turn my comp off wen i go out too. unless u live in the desert ur comp will be fine. jus be very carefull not to cover the fans. also pick ur self up a EVERCOOL notebookcooler, or somethin just as good to keep the air flowin. i love my zd8000 and have not had any problems with it. I pull all nite lan parties wit it. bottom line is, set ur power settings, get really good airflow cooler, keep fans clear and open, and keep at good room temperature or lower.

I want to buy a zd8000, but I've decided to wait until the AMD Athlon 64 version comes out. Everybody say that AMD is cooler than Intel's P4.

I guess I'll have less heat issues whit AMD while still getting a powertful processor.

The processor will run cooler but the video card wont ... They will put a hotter video card in with the cooler CPU... So it wont matter...

Mmm...you say that the WILL put a hotter video card in with the cooler CPU...I don't really mind as long as the new video card performs better than the current x600

Whats the new video card going to be.. and how does the x600 compare with the x800?

x800 is A LOT BETTER...

But you put ATI with intel...

Nvidia with AMD so it will be an Nvidia card... 6600 Or above is my guess...

how do u kno that the zd8000 is comin out wit the amd??? thats been talked about for so long.... they cant even get a better graphics card or even a faster bigger hd. iono waitin will probably be a very long time. from my own experience since iv had the comp for acouple of months now, ur comp isnt going to fry unless ur using it in the oven. im waiting on techng could hook me up wit a comp temp program. then ill post the temps for how i use my computer. that means me on aim, myspace, playin cs, and city of heroes for acouple of hours. i jus use the EVERCOOL cooler, and i have not had problems like how other say if they play games for longer than 30-50 mins there video starts glitching, or there comp restarts for no reason, or iono, iv herd many things. i was scared at first to be honest bout getting this laptop wen i herd these things, but since iv had it i couldnt be any happier. i think people jus kinda exagerate. wrist area mite get hot, but not scorthing hot like iv herd. but well c wat i can find out.
