qwest dsl

Hello,
I just got Qwest DSL and i can't install it on linux. On windows worked trhrough dhcp. I reboot into Vector linux and configure the network with dhcp via VASM. doesn't work. I tried static using the adress ipconfig gave me. Useless. Damn.
My system has an asus p5ad2 mobo, with built-in ethernet. I compiled the kernel with support for my network card, AC97 I think (realtek). So it was supposed to detect the card and use it proprely (2.6.12.3-vanila). Any ideeas? Or maybe ur /etc/resolv.conf please. Thanks

Post up ifconfig results while your computer is running?

Also posting up your /etc/network/interfaces(Or whatever that file is on your distro) and your /etc/resolv.conf and the like wouldnt be a bad idea either.
