2.0 or 2.1 Ghz?

As I am slowly recovering from an expensive move, I am in the need for a T&L Laptop. I will be getting the Sentia, but I was wondering what kind of performance difference there is between the 2.0 Ghz and the 2.1 Pentium M? I've read different information from several different places, and even Intel's site doesn't give the review that I am looking for. Does anybody who has a 2.0 or a 2.1 Sentia have any opinions?

For me it would depend on the cost. If it's 50 bucks more, I'd go for it. If it's 200 more ... I think I would stick with 2.0 Ghz. I doubt anyone would notice the dfference.

agreed with wild. i cant see much of a HUGE difference from .1 ghz so as long as its less that 100$ id go with 2.0ghz

Get the 2Ghz, you're not allowed to have a cooler lappy than mine.

What would you be using the laptop for? The pentium m chip is not like the desktop pentium chip, the pentium m has a throttle built into it so its speed varies. If you see yourself doing very cpu intensive applications with your sentia then there is a chance you might get some performance return on that extra 5%. But if you are planning on using a laptop in that manner, not sure the Sentia is really the best choice.

I have a 2.0Ghz pentium m, and most of the time it is running under 1Ghz. Also this is something alienware didn't mention, the bios has an overclocking feature that defaults to "on", so a 2.0Ghz pentium m actually throttles up to 2.2Ghz under full load.... of course my overheats after 30 minutes of 100% cpu (so I disabled that default feature).

cost/perfomance ratio

if you dont know... look it up
Then you'll see a clear choice as to which one to buy.
