I am trying to weigh a powerbook as they are now, 1.67 G4 processor, vs a thinkpad with a Pentium M 1.86GHz or 1.73GHz. I know the processors are3 difficult to compare and would like some feedback from those of you who may have gone either route. They can both suite my video and ram needs. Is the thinkpad as compatability to external monitors as the powerbook which seems very good. The stability of the mac and the idea of not seeing that dreaded blue screen or having windows throw a hissy fit has me leaning towards the apple although I feel the software availability will be an annoyance which I may regret. Basically I am looking to buy a laptop in the next few days and wonder if you have any thoughts to aid me in jumping off the financial cliff in one direction or the other.
