I defend AW in threads, and state the fact that both my friends A51 3500 and my Sentia run like tops. Am I an AW rep?
"HE'S AN AW-REP! BURN HIM!" *In bad cockney*

Back on topic,

47, you still have several options w/ respect to upgrading.

1) Go thru Sager
2) Your mobo has an "accident" and you need a warranty replacement
3) Sell your current system and wait for a newer version of the 7700
4) Sell your current system and buy from another reseller

I personally think options 1 or 2 are best
Lol @ option 2

You're dead right about some of the schmucks that defend AW on a regular basis even when in the wrong. I honestly believe these people do it to kiss all of the AW reps' a$$es that haunt these forums. This way if they ever need anything, they won't be worried that something might go painfully wrong with their systems when being repaired, upgraded, or the like. I don't buy this crap that these people just have such a love affair with the product they will defend the company with such zest. Thanks for taking the time to post your suggestions...

And Codename 47? What do you do now?Sell your System to buy a newer one? Be happy I have the older 6800..Wanna buy the ddr3 next time..befor they sell out like mine...
PS: This is my 99 Post!

Heres the plan, grab your cousin, marry her, move to some hut in some remote mountianous area, forsake all technology and live in harmonywith the fairy people for ever and ever. Honestly thats the only solution i see here.

Alienware needs to make good on their claims instead of filling the public's head with outlandish marketing chatter and markedly false delivery. It is my greatest hope that the integrity that helped to put AW where it is will be ultimately upheld. Hopefully my efforts will at least make a dent and pave an easier upgrade path for others in the near future...
We understand your perspective.

It's wrong.

That was for the hyperthreading issue. AW advertised HT with the early 5500 due to their manufacturers claim, but it was unstable.

After AW fixed the issue, they did all the upgrades for free including replacing some of the earliest motherboards.

In this case however, AW said the machine is upgradable, and it is, so this is about amount, not AW making "false claims."

Listen Clammer,

You love defending AW even when there outright in the wrong. You are dead right, lies, inaccurate technical information, and marketing propaganda from certain techs is not good enough for me like it is you. Of course you don't know any better, why don't you chill? Just because you have a strange obsession with Alienware and defend them every chance you get makes me sick. You are always on these boards preaching the AW gospel, if you were smart, you would see what I am getting at. Your another AW "Save-a-ho" no matter how wrong they are. You spew so much AW love that I could swear you work for them. You're just another NBF trick...

Anyway,

I am hoping to here a response soon...
Listen code name "duh",

How the hell is AW in the wrong here? Where is it they claimed you'd be able to upgrade your system for $500?

You're a moron, and you have no argument, so you turn it personal.

Make sure you let us all know when you personally arrange from the presicent of AW, a 7800 upgrade for $500 and I'll apologize.

Douchebag.

You have no argument so you whine like the little bitch you are.

By the way, your laptop is upgradable, momo.
