What Game Are You Playing? - Page 3

Playing GTA3 (still fun). I have the graphics way up and it bearly lags at all. (fits widescreen)
Battlefield 1942/ Desert Combat run great with settings maxed out. No lag at all.
Star Wars: Jedi Academy also runs great with settings all the way up.
Star Wars: KOTOR is perfect, what an improvement over the lag on my Dell.
C&C Generals/ Zero Hour runs really nicely too with high graphics.

Far Cry Demo ???

Can anybody tell me how Far Cry plays - and what resolution and settings you use. Just for comparison I was "trying" to play it on this Dell 8600 w/ ATI 9600 card. It can barely run at 1024X768 High setting. Its just about unplayable. I have a few days till I can send it back and will probably get an Area 51m . Just wonder how it plays on one!

I am playing COD, Max Payne 2 -again , and Postal 2. That is besides Counterstrike, im always playing it. I saw on an eariler thread that the graphics suck on counterstrike - try the new steam install Graphics are much improved. Its not HL2 or Doom3 but heh.. who even has those right?

last lan party 2 weeks ago.

Last one i went to we played alot of Battelfield 1942 : Desert Combat mod its an OK game not my fave but decent and ran great on almost everyones computer but even better on mine! we also played alot of Call of Duty and Unreal 2K3. Quake 3 Aqimbo mod was also played. A few of us with teh higher power machines played some realy nice games of HALO. When i got tired of playing with others I played a little Need for speed Underground to round things out. There was some warcraft 3 being played also but I don't hav ethat one and I realy suck at RTS games anyhow.

There is a 1.6 patch for BF 1942 that was just released this past week...perhaps that might help:
