Customer Support

Hey guys, just ordered an Area 51m...

In phase 3 at the moment and was flicking through a few forums. The general bad point that kept coming up was that the customer support is crap and apparently you're going to need to use it, unless your extremely lucky.
Then I found this site and have flicked through a few of the threads, and you've pretty much restored my confidence hehe. Still the point of Customer Support at the back of my head though.. along the lines of 'once they get your money you're on your own'. And yet their support lines seem pretty impressive, being 24/7 etc.

Any of you guys got anything to say on this? Couldn't find anything on other threads here. Cheers :-)

i had a terrible experience with alienware but others have had great ones.. Customer service was crap to me and they all said different things. they look in a book for their answers how reliable can they be. good luck with your alienware! Post lots of pics.

Not true I had a video card problem and I called on Sat. I recieved my new card on the following Wed. and now all is fine. There have been some bad experiances that people have had but in terms of customer support they have treated me well. As for the length of time for your computer to ship. when toolbax ordered they were saying it would take 4 to 6 weeks. In my opinion the wait was worth it I have had no more problems with this computer that I have with any other that I have built or purchased and they were very helpful in getting me through my hardware problems. There are a few driver issues still but I am for the most part happy.

I feel that NO company can be as bad as people potray. Even Alienware...I hate them personally because of their past and continuing trend but even they have to see the light of day at some point of time or the other...

Be aware that this is a organization with a track record of falsehood, scamming, witholding refunds and the likes. I dont know why they got themselves into this mess but they are struggling to get out of it.

Lets hope for the best

Cheers guys, pics will be posted. Your forums have helped me out a lot so thanks for that :-)

Going to stick with them I think, hope for the best. I'll be back with pics and problems that need solving assumably hehe.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Alienware besides the washed out issue but that has been gone for a week now.
