Hard Drive problems?

Hi there. First time post. I'm having a few problems with what I think is my Hard drive.

Today when I went out, I shut down the computer, but I noticed it didn't shut all the way down. It was hanging on the "shutting down windows" screen. Now, when I try to turn it back on, it tells me I have a problem with my RAID setup.

I've tried using my AlienRespawn CD/DVD but it says the destination is too small.

Any suggestions? I'm about fed up here. Upon recieving my computer (Couple of weeks ago) The mouse was broken. No problem, I went out and bought a new one. Then, I found out that my Slot-Load DVD drive wouldn't install stuff correctly... again, no problem I went out and bought an External USB drive and everything was Okay. Now this... ARGH!

*******UPDATE*********
I've fixed my problem. I simply deleted the RAID 0 configuration without deleting the boot sector. Then made a new RAID 0 exactly the same without initializing it. Viola, works just like it did before, and no reformatting, or data loss.

Sorry for the double post. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Does it even sounds like harddrive failure?

You didn't get any replies because you posted in the wrong section...I moved this to the Tech Support section for you so maybe you'll see a few hits.

dude, thats exactly the same problem i had when i got my pc from AW, it would not shutdown and would always hang at the shutdown screen, i used the respawn disc and it still does it, so i eventually tried the xp disc that also comes with the computer and bingo, no more hangs on shutdown, so if you ask me, AW install of windows = messed up and also so is my respawn disc = waste of money....

why did you buy replacements for stuff that was faulty ? AW would send new ones to you in a matter of days..

i know if any of my stuff was faulty, it would be thrown back in the direction of AW, i sure as f00k would not pay for replacements.

but anyway, i had buggy pc aswell and i was kinda regretting my purchase, but after a week of dedicated support from AW, I even got a phonecall from 1 who said he seen one of my posts and would like to help, wtf, after that i can no longer say that my pc is bugged...

ok back to your question, your raid setup = shagged, insert respawn disc and then goto the span across something so it installs onto both ur drives, then pick the biggest harddrive that it allows you to pick and it will wipe that and copy new stuff to it, you get the too small error because you are probably trying to copy it to the 8mb partiton that is spare. i cant remeber how it goes exactly because as i say, my respawn cd is crap.

if in doubt phone the free support number and get them to walk you threw it.

I'm trying to get a little bit of help here first. Because it's quite hard to understand the guys on the phone. No offense to them, but I have to have them repeat things a lot.

I can't start up, it claims there's no operating system to be found once I tell it to continue booting up after it tells me I have a problem with my RAID setup. As for where to put the DVD image to, there's only 1 selection.

Oh, one more thing. When I was trying to use my XP CD a while back (While I was trying to troubleshoot my DVD drive problem) It wouldn't install. It would find no partitions to install to or repair. (If I pressed Enter, or the arrow keys or anythign, it would go to a BSOD)I attributed this to the fact that I didn't install the RAID drivers before I went to that screen and shrugged it off and told myself I'd come back to it later after exhausting all my other options.
