My Amilo can`t play games

Cpu-z shows CPU speed 800 MH. Factory CPU speed is 1.86GH. How can I increase the FSB speed to overcome current underclocked status? There is no way via BIOS program. Any idea?
Amilo 3438, 1.86GH CPU, 512MB RAM and games that run on a system with two times less power can`t run here.

If it's a P-M chip, it'll always show decreased status when you're not running high end applications, as it downclocks itself to a lower speed when it doesn't need full capacity. Don't worry about that.

As far as games go, I don't know why you can't play them.

Yeah, it's normal that pentium M goes to powersaving when it doesnt use the full capasity =) When you run a game, pentium uses the full power of the daaark siiide, dont worry

start->settings->control panel->power options and set to maximum performance if you want it to always run at 1.86 ghz.

OK this helped but only temporarily. The core speed reached its maximum speed untill a game was started. Then again 800 MH and poor performance. What could it be? Is it a problem with the CPU or it could be corrected somehow in BIOS or Windows?

you need to plug in your adapter (power), or it will clock down auto to save the bat.
