Fan question... help

Well I finally recieved my computers. It looks like Alienware is now shipping the laptops with the 7.95 drivers for the ATI.

I have a question regarding the fans. Do they run all the time for everyone? The fan slows down considerably after the computer has loaded Windows but, the noise is still pretty annoying. A co-worker has one in 2.8ghz configuration and their's is also pretty annoying in a quiet room so I don't think I have a bad fan.
Is there anyway to slow the fan down even more? I feel like I am typing on a vacuum cleaner.

I have a boner over the desktop you just bought...I just thought I'd mention that.

Hehe.. I don't want to get off topic here, but let me just say that this desktop is unbelieveably fast! I love it!

Well it's simple. You get a boner over a desktop. When you get your laptop you're probably going to have little pda's. You also spooged when you saw my benchmarks.
