By the way crank that memory up to 1300. If it uses the same DDR as the 6800 U it should be fine. My 6800 runs at 1300 Memory.

I am sorry if this was asked before, but I know the old XPS2 can handle the new 7800 GTX card, but will it be supported by Dell. In other words, will Dell upgrade my machine so I would not have to void my warranty?
Ive heard rumors to that effect. Hopefully it will become available in the next few days.

Once the details are worked out, can we switch this thread to a "How to upgrade your XPS2 GPU"? It would definately help me out, to have information such as required bios, what the part number is, who to call, how much it is, etc. etc. all in one place.

Ahh I love LOWBALL offers...

NO ONE will part with the Ultra for that price. Market value is at least double if not triple because of the specialized market niche and demand.
I know but you gotta start somewhere, right? I probably wont go triple that amount though and Sony311 requested offers, this is an offer. Have to be able to afford a christmas gift for my kid as well Anyways, Sony311 might not even be able to buy the 7800GTX from Dell anyways, thus unable to sell. Anyone actually been successfull at ordering and have had the 7800GTX delivered?

Actually, with the release of the 7800 the supply will far exceed the demand on the 6800 ultra so be prepared $100 might not be that far off.
