So I was pumped about playing some dvd's widescreen style on a roady, boy am i glad i decided to test it out before hand...

sound is nowhere synced up with the picture, now i cant tell if the video isn't synced right but i deinately notice the sound. Even plugged into AC theres is this problem. Has anyone else noticed this?

BTW my baby was one of the preorders from the great folks at istnc with whatever optical drive they were offering at the time, I don't know what type or speed it is off the top of my head.

any hints? software suggestions?

Check the configuration in the system control panel. Some people have noticed their optical drive setting is not set to UDMA. I think it was set to PIO something. Try that first.

If you are using windows xp contact your dealer and have them help you. If you are using windows 2000 this is a known issue. http://ynot2k.com/phpbb/nfphpbb/viewtopic.php?t=332

Yeah I'm assuming he means he preordered the Z71V whenever it was on for preorders.

Ok I did do some fiddling, and i noticed a slight improvement, however I wasnt able to find this settings option. I went through device managers, but couldn't find what your talking about smile...

I may be wrong but i think one of the service packs changes the pio to dma mode. Its one of the issues addressed. In device manager under atapi controller secondoray ide advanced settings.
