Windows XP 64 & Gaming Problems

I was playing WoW the other day on my laptop and for some reason out of no where the screen goes completely blue and goes beserk and my laptop freezes up completely. Alt+Ctrl+Del Wouldnt work and pushing the power button once wouldnt work also. I had to hold it down. After It turned off it didnt want to turn on either. It took a while for it to want to turn back on. When it did turn back on it was making weird noises and it took its sweet time to boot up as well.....I dont know what the hell happened. This sucks. Not a good thing to happen during gaming when you're in the middle of the best part of the game. Maybe the Omega Drives arent that great?? Also for some reason the laptop wont boot off of my Windows Xp 64 bit CD. When i try to run it in Windows it says restart PC with cd in drive, Which i did and for some reason it still wont detect the cd at all. I also tried going into Bios and it wont detect jack. How the heck do I install it than? Impossible? I was also wondering does anyone know a program to find out how hot the Processor and Video card are? This way I can monitor the heat. Bios wont seem to tell me how hot it is. Does anyone know of a program that tells you? Thanks for anyones help

THANKS A LOT MAN!!! You're the best.....I got one more question though. For laptops around what is the normal temperatire in Celcius? Maybe Intel and Amd are wayyyyyyy different temperature wise though? IONO The computer I have is listed below. I normally get around 35 - 40 C. When im playing games it goes higher to about fifty probably or so. Maybe a little less. Not too sure? Is that around the same temperature for most PC's?

– AMD Athlon(TM) 64 4000+ (2.4GHz/1MB l2 Cache)
– 15.4" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x800)
– 128MB ATI RADEON(R) XPRESS 200M w/Hypermemory(TM)
– 2.0GB DDR SDRAM (2x1024MB)
– 80 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive
– LightScribe 8x DVD+/-RW&CD-RW Combo w/Double Layer
– 54g(TM) 802.11b/g WLAN w/ 125HSM/SpeedBooster(TM)

I would say that 65c is an okay high temp... You have normal temps so i wouldnt worry about it... I cannot remeber what the max is for a 4000+ if you want to know ill have to dig up the information...
