AW Software Installation

I am not one to leave manufaturered installed software installed (What they install at the factory) after I get a system. I usually don't even boot up the factory installed software and just go for a fresh install so I know as to what is installed and what is not. I like to run a pretty tight ship when it comes to my software only because I develop software and don't want to chance my development to any conflicts. When you get the laptop do you get an oem version of the os? I also assume it is no issue doing this seems how this couldn't be any different than any other system I have dealt with. Any input would be grateful.

OEM version is generally a non boxed version, meaning it doesn't come with the box and manuals that you would get if you went to your local software store and bought the software off the shelf. Basically, is the disk a OEM disk that has the MS logos on it, or does the disk have AW logos on it. Hope this helps.

Yep, it's OEM. It has an AW logo on it and it says " For Distribution with a New PC Only."

It's has their badging on it, but its a plain XP cd. I also wiped and reloaded mine before the first power up. I can't stand factory builds!
