Sup,
i just got my i6000 back from dell after complaining about hte heat problemes, they say they repaired the fan and cpu etc but the hdd temp is still going up, when i start my comp the hdd is around 37 but it increases and increases. right now i am typing this message, and using AIM and the hdd is at 50C. THis isnt normal, i can game, DL, and video edit on my desktop and it never goes above 39C.

Any suggestions?????????/

You're a fool thats the problem. Laptop will be hotter than a desktop, think about it. 50c is perfectly fine, stop looking for something wrong, and realize that the computer works just fine. Also 2 totally different cheapo temperature monitors may have way different readings, without using the same probes, and same software the value has far to much error to be of any value.

Fan is fine. Cpu is definitly not the problem. HDD is fine, stop wasting dells time.

<-----50c when on for more than 20 min...

ive had 3 different hard drives in the 6000. seeing as how there is no cooling for the hD, 50c is very low, and very acceptable....

if you dont like it, move to alaska (: enjoy.

I meant undervolt my CPU... which indirectly effects the temps of both the GPU and the HDD....

I seems suprising that my HDD runs cooler than all the others, i thought the 7200 rpm are meant to be slightly hotter.

that fangui app says cannot control fan #2.

Does my 6000d have two fans?
Its prolly sayin it cant control it cuz there isnt a #2 fan TO control. I have a 6000D as well, and it doesnt have two fans.
