How many fps do you guys get. No matter what settings I use only get 20fps. I wonder what's wrong

Well, I got it last night as well and I must say that higher resolutions will slow down the system

I currently run it at 1024x768 with max settings and it runs smooth like clarified butter... Anything higher will start to slow things down.

As for 20FPS in any resolution? Definite problem with how your system is configured. Like I said, 1024x768 seems to be the sweet spot for it. Anything higher and you are starting to chug like a choo-choo train.

BTW, I have 2GB of RAM on my notebook w/ the go6800 Ultra.
Hope this helps a bit. Oh yeah, my system is running STOCK - NO OVERCLOCKING.

Are you guys w/ 20 FPS overclocking? I am at stock and using the original Dell drivers - they run FEAR best - and COD2 flies, i can run the highest settings, but bump down the res. I can also run the highest res, but bump down aa and it's still very playable. That plane crashing in the intro looks like a movie. Can't wait for the 7800 Go..

I can run it at 1420x900 (no AA) and everything on high and it runs pretty good. Wont run well on 1920 x 1200 though.

I'm stuck at 20FPS as well no matter what settings. It does not feel smooth.

UNLESS I force DirectX 7 mode -> FPS jumps to 60.

You know what? I spend two hours of downloading it and it stopped at 95% download. It said that the server is downed... how sad.

The inportance of using a download manager that resumes partial downloads.

Viva La ZModem with Crash Recovery!

As for the slow performance, hopefully is't something that will clear up closer to release.
