Why is Battlefield 2 not working on Alienware?

I recently received my Alienware Area-51 7700m today from Fed Ex. I thank god nothing happened like the couple of threads I seen. I checked if there was any problems with the pixel, no problem. I also checked for any tears or wearing of the laptop, no problem there.

However, when I installed Battlefield 2 (which I bought through Alienware) and installed the 1.2 patch (The "patching...please wait" propmt was there for 5 min straight, I decided to ctrl-alt-del, and it just vanished...so I don't know if it was done or not), the screen went black, as if it was gonna start the game, but it ended up back to my desktop.

Can anyone help me??

It takes a long time to patch....its not your PC, you need to be patient. trust me i know.

Yeah, I would recommend trying the patch again.

BTW, congratulations on your new 7700, I've been enjoying mine.

I´ve seen that happening. It turns out that the video drivers included on BF2 are just for desktop computers and not mobiles.

You will need to contact Alienware so that they can provide you with the latest drivers for your mobile system and tell you what you need to do to get BF2 running on your system.

it's working, but I still haven't tested the multiplayer option. Do you need the new patch to play online??

If so, read my problem I have....

I will call Alienware about the updated driver tommorow, after a good night sleep..

Stay Tuned lol
