I saved my money just for this laptop. I'm a electronic tech/computer support. Plus I do side jobs and I have a second job. I hope that helps. I dropped cash on this system. That way I don't have to worry about extra monthly bills. I love my new lappie. Mainly cause not eveyone have one.

I got my XPS2 for only $2250, and that's not even the best price you can get it for. I just got tired of waiting for the 35% off coupon (at the time it was the best; now there are 40% off ones). I needed a laptop before the end of June, and there was no way I would have gotten it if I hadn't found a reasonable deal on Dell Outlet.

As for where I work, mostly computer repair freelance work ($20-30 an hour) paid for my XPS2, but now I'm an AmeriCorps VISTA ($4 an hour). On my current salary I couldn't afford the XPS2 -- luckily I put it all on my credit card and paid it off on the next bill.

I work as a caregiver for my father. I also work as a subcontractor doing delivery work. My 9300 was bought with a credit card, and it is being paid off every month by at least $250.

im 17, a senior in highschool, with no job...

bought a comp with my summer job, sold it just now.. paid the rest by selling World of Warcraft accounts.

LOL that's awesome...
Selling wow accounts...
I pity those who have to use someone's stuff to feel good about themselves...
U know buying accounts completely takes away from playing...
And in 3 months, they will probably sell it too...

I bought the XPS while I was a dive instructor in the Bahamas making slave wages. (Now days I'm just an unemployed lackey, which I've found that I like better.)

I used a 40% coupon and my EPP (Employee Purchase Program) discount from the real job I had in my previous life and got my system for a hair over $1,700. That includes the fact that I sold the free printer that came with it for $100.
