Typically it's a good idea to go with the native resolution if you can (max your screen will allow). Otherwise, the screen has to compensate to a smaller res meaning there's not a one-to-one pixel conversion. Hope you get what I'm saying. The result is that it ends up looking a tiny bit fuzzier at resolutions less than native. What do you have anyway? WSXGA+ or WUXGA?
