Well - I guess I'll just have to rely on one of the other notebooks in my arsenal .

No chance of hubby sending it. He won't even touch the boxes - has visions of my initial experience with AW and does not want to "take the blame" if something is not right with the new system...such a coward. The time will go by fast, as I am doing a lot of travel.

It looks like they may just have messed up their web site - it says to scroll right for more notebooks, but the link doesn't seem to work. the m7700 still shows in the most popular products - and you can configure one. Probably messed up when updating the page with the new notebooks.

mipac - did you get your computer yet????

edit: just saw your thread - don't know how I missed it. Sorry about the video card screw up, but glad you finally got the computer. A suggestion. DOCUMENT your conversations/emails with AW regarding them okaying you to change out the video card - it's obvious, since they are sending it to you, but it never hurts to be careful when it comes to warranty issues.

eeep your not going to believe this guys. My lappy went up in a big puff of smoke... literally lol...

have sent it back in for repairs. mobo fried. Am considering on letting alienware keep it and getting a AW desktop with the credit as this thing is just to unreliable

had a big night of WoW planned too.. my brother was on.. my roomate was on... my favorite guild members were on.. it was 7pm on fri arvo... have the whole night ahead of me and *poof*

will see what AW say about the change over.. if not they will just fix it and send it back to me.. i wont be to disapointed if that is the case.. just thought i would give the desktop thing a go as in my view now.. i would prefer one.

hi again guys too by the way.. been a while since we have all spoken... hows everything going ?

yer its been a while since we have all chatted in here..

quick update AW still have my laptop.. long saga but its not all there fault.. they were prepared to return it but i asked them to hang on to it for a bit.. long story.

Shazza has a m5500 now that she loves

AW australia has stopped selling the 7700 apparently due to supply issues...

Hello! I'm just wondering if Alienware Australia ships to the Philippines. I've sent them an email regarding my inquiry but no reply. So, does anyone know? Coz if the Australian branch does, I could do my next purchase at the Alienware Australia so I can have support.

im not sure jiggy.. they do ship to New Zealand so there is a chance of it i guess...

as to a reply to your email they can be a little slow however we have had some public holidays here of recent so they may not have read it yet...

possibly call them if you can or send another email. im sure they will address you as soon as they can

jiggy - Pants is right, I'd suggest calling if you can, but I'd be surprised if they are shipping outside of New Zealand and Australia - I guess it depends on export restrictions.

Pants - you need to post in the SIDWH thread, so we can rep you to blue!

Hope all the other Aussie Aliens are doing well. Just finishing up my 2nd 4 day weekend - very nice!
