So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review.
As what I primarily do is writing and programming, having a good keyboard is critical for me, which is why a tablet alone can’t work for me, and...
I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...

$500 for a slight boost to DoD:S? Wow...and I thought my priorities were messed up. With my "lowly" 9300 I get constant 30+ framerates. It hits 30 when there are lots of people and explosions, otherwise it hovers closer to 40-60. Everything is set at defaults, High, Water Reflections, and 1440*900.
lol looks like there is going to be a $60 off coupon.
30 minutes ago there was no red number and the black numbers were Bold and not crossed out.
WOW it dropped in price again. This is kinda funny. You would think Dell would only update their compare page once per day. This is the 4th time It has changed in the last 4 hours.

no one really knows what the price is yet, its all speculation. Dont forget coupons can bring it down
Wait, how are you guys getting $500 for the upgrade? What if I got a 9300 with the base 64MB card, downloaded the cracked BIOS, flashed it, downloaded and flashed the newest XPS2 BIOS, then bought the card for $350 from dell, thats only $350, not $500. Plus if you have a coupon, it's even cheaper.
well, as expected, its only out for the xps2, however, this is not to say that we can't put it in the 9300.. I wonder what happened to that dude that modded his 9300 to fit the 6800 ultra... was that a hoax ? there hasn't been any news of him lately... well, if you are watching these forums... we would really appreciate some feedback on the stability of your mod
Here's my thinking, why play nice just call up and say I need/want this part here's my CC# and ship it to my address. Instead of argueing symantics... The way I see it what does the saleperson care what I'm willing to pay for. That essentially what I had to do to get my DVD upgrade for my laptop (Granted this was after about a weeks worth of emailing/telephone calls). Anyways my $.02
and no one has answered my question. Exactly why wouldn't this work in a 9300? If a 9300 can take a 6800 Ultra and the new XPS base card is a 6800 Ultra, there should be no problem should there?

It's very hard to say, in fact Dell can locked up many thing in the BIOS by not allowing you to over doing some stuff.
For example, My Dimension 4500 GeForce4 420 MX does not allow me to overclock it since the firmware is locked in the GFX card. I'm having a hard time with that card.
So, there might be some firmware in the card that does not allow it to run in a 9300? How would it know it was a 9300 if you had the BIOS flashed though?
I wouldn't say it cant. Its just that it requires alot work. You will need a hacked XPS bios for your 9300, the 6800 Ultra card with heatsink assembly, 9cell battery, and 130 watt XPS2 power supply. You will also have to do some mod work to the case to get the heatsink to fit.
If thats all worth your time and money, then it will work. I'd rather just get a new laptop.
If you have the read the prior debates/flame wars going on...it's not a question that it will not work, but the fact that you have to do MODS that in the end will cost just the same as buying an XPS2. To much modding in my opinion for something that could have been bought the first time.

Also, ATI has begun shipping 10XX Mobile Cards to manufacturers to test, which might be used in the next generation M-170 with Yonah (just speculation though).
