So i noticed my touch pad was not set to ultra UNsensitive anymore so I went to mouse properties in control panel. All those touch pad options are now gone and I didnt unstall the drivers or anything! I went to device manager and theres no ? or ! for the touchpad. Also in the add/remove programs list there is the ALPS touchpad driver. So uh, did i turn off a setting or something? Also the little icon in the bottom right is gone and even if i turn it to show all the time, it still doesnt turn on.

ALPS Driver

Well, it is usually from use of an external mouse.

Touchpad in Device Manager could be the Windows generic touchpad driver.

Having in CP Add/Remove does not mean that it still exists.

HERE is link to Dell Download site for your ALPS Driver

Pay attention to address it installs to, and if you don't see it after install, go to Device Manager,
select Update, "let me choose, have disk" and point (browse) to the address of the ALPS.

No idea, but I've seen it happen, problem is that the generic driver is right there and all looks fine until you look by the clock for the icon to adjust something, and that's when you notice it's gone
