7800 GTX released by Sager - Page 3

Luke, will it be possible to order a 9750 with x64 pre-installed? In other words... do they have non beta drivers.

Pre-orders?

When will pre-orders be available for the 5720? My screen just died on my .sigtop (actually some kind of short in the little pcb card that controls the backlight) and I need a new laptop soon. I'm a little annoyed at (and won't be buying any more laptops from) Dell - a failure after 2 years of moderate-high use? Come on.

That would be a perfect candidate for a LED back light mod. I'm surprised that so few notebooks use LED lighting. It saves a lot of power.

Don't look at the non-BF2 benchmarks. They probably didn't tax the card enough to give proper results. If you take 1024x768 or 1280x1024 benchmarks with any game on the market and a 7800 GTX against a 6800 Ultra (desktop), you're not going to see a big difference.

Personally, I'd like to see a more extreme benchmark, especially for a 7800 Go review. C'mon, dare to show those 30 FPS results. We want to see what it does at 1680x1050 w/ 8xAA and 16xAF. It tells us more about the graphics power, which is what we want to know.

I'd also like to see a slightly more transparent result. I'm gathering that most of the benchmarks were at 1024x768 or 1280x1024, but I'm not positive.

October 12th as it says all over the website. However, they will ship starting on the 28th, so that's a large lag time there.

They still don't have non-beta drivers for the 9880-90
