Asus support, North American phone number

I know the 1-888-678-3688 number for north america
Im in Canada, so Im part of it, but when I dial, I get a busy signal and sometimes a recorded message from the phone company saying "you are not entitled to reach the number you have called"

So, any Canucks here managed to call it? or are we effing screwed? We arent a country in the Global Warranty support since I cant find Canada in the list.

Asus Canada Service Depot: 1-888-399-3413 ( Only for Asus Brand Laptops, not for Built-on Asus )

From your signature, I supposed you have a Z71V, for this model, you need to go back to the place you purchased from.

Yeah I got the same thing. I sent them one of those tech support contact things and they told me to call that number. Needless to say, I didn't get through. I ended up just calling them long distance. It wasn't too bad. Maybe 10 minutes of waiting before I talked to someone who was really helpful and got me an RMA.

Oh, they shipped my battery from wherever to my place in Niagara Falls on Monday and I got it on Tuesday. (I faxed them the cross-shipping stuff on Saturday so they've really got their act together) I can't wait to try it out but I'm at university right now. I'll be heading home on the weekend. w00t, fully functioning battery here I come.

Gentlemen and women.
May I remind you that the policy is "Dealer should always be the first point of contact". If you are not getting the service you deserve from asus it is because most of their top dealers bear their responsibility. If you bought your notebook from a reputable dealer take advantage of their exprtise

Guess not everyone has the option of buying from the most reputable places. The place I got mine from wouldn't do a cross ship and I knew ASUS themselves would. Thus, ASUS it was.

when I called Asus, they told me they cant RMA across the canadian border and I gotta deal with my reseller... but I dont wanna, they are out of the way and I gotta show up physically at the reseller to RMA through them

chuck, you got a built-on asus, or an asus brand notebook?

I had a built on ASUS notebook. Take a look at the other thread you made. It may have something to do with the part you're sending and its value.

Hello. I am also in Canada, I had the same problem as you, busy signal. Then I tried the # in the message below yours whic is supposed to be canada support, it is a wrong #. I then tried the 'busy' # and got through very quickly. I was asked if I was calling from the US or Canada, and had my problem solved. So try that # again, perhaps it is just a vey busy #. Good luck.
