Anyone else really annoyed by how loud their A51m is?

I thought this thing was going to be quiet. Nope. Anyone found a way to make their machine quieter? I am about to return this computer. I like to use the machine in bed while watching TV, and I find myself having to turn the volume up to unresonable levels to hear it over this vacuum cleaner of a computer.

What would you suspect? Silence. Any laptop will be loud with a desktop processor or a really good graphics card.

No I did not expect it to be silent. But, I have heard desktops that were quieter. AW uses a crappy fan.

Not too loud!

My desktop is a roaring beast next to this thing. It is pretty quitet by my standards i guess it depends how picky you are.

The sound on mine is barely audible....doesn't bother me one bit! Y'all are spoiled :-P You need to go out and buy an Apple G4 desktop and experience the cyclone! lol

Not only is Ron Jeremy a bad porno actor but he must be an audio proudcer for bad porno movies also , seeing how picky he is about his Alienware sounds. this dude has keen ears cause I don't think it's that loud and I am not deaf.

yeah i wish the fan was quieter too, but look on the bright side... mine has started squeaking!!! i think i'm going to have to send it in to get replaced. fans suck. i tried using an air duster, but no good. it kinda sounds like there are crickets in my laptop now.

Have you looked to see if there is a way you could get a dab of oil on the fan post? Many times boards with fans have an oil "access" port. If I had my laptop I'd look for you
