Hi I have a sager np4881 and it gets really hot sometimes. A friend told me I could buy a cooling kit for a notebook. I was wondering which ones would be compatible with the model I have. Any suggestions??

I personally don't have my laptop yet, but my brother-in-law and many school mates use the Vantec LapCool2 with pretty good results.

I have a 8790 (big & some say hot).

I bought a cooler; however, found that a few strategically placed "rubber bumbers" that raised the unit up by approximately 1" in the rear and 1/2" in the front resulted in a lower overall operating temperature. For the past year, with very few exceptions, my 8790 is perched atop the cooler (with the bumpers applied) and the fans are off. I only use the fans when I am outside on the patio and the temps there are over 80 degrees. I got the "rubber legs" at Radio Shack for less than $5. It's something you might consider.
