This e-mail is not absolutely correct in all cases - it (can) simply mean it got to Alienware's shipping/receiving area like in my case - it can still take time (up to a day possibly) to get them to actually hand your computer to a FedEx person. Not bashing them at all. So far very pleased with the service, etc.
It's very important you check your tracking number and if it's not yet registered with FedEx give Alienware a call.
They have recently consolidated their Phases. I saw this as my computer jumped from Phase 9 (in the old system) to Phase 8 (new system). Even though I went numerically backwards it was essentially like being in the last phases of the old system.
Now I wait for shipping , etc.
