This is an interesting question. I just ordered the 4780 myself without an OS as I have a full, unopened version of XP Pro sitting next to me ready for install. I'd like to know if this is true or not as well.

Yeah - me too. Just packed up and sold my whole desktop system. I can't wait for this thing to arrive. Ordered Wednesday, Feb 4th.
