ye it is a good choice... if youve got the cash go for a lappy with the 6800 Ultra or even the 7800 GTX, but if your like 9 out of 10 people and you dont, then your making a sound investment. Very few laptops have a 6800 Go chip offered in them, let alone a 6800 Ulta. So youll be able to play to your hearts content for a few years with the knowledge that your video card is one of the best available for laptops now and into the future 1-2 years away.
I personally have an i9300 and Ive overclocked it beautifully, Runs Battlefield 2, Half Life 2, Call of Duty 2 demo, Doom 3, counter strike: source like a charm. My settings on Battlefield 2 are virtually all set to high, except I dont play with AA/AF and the only thing I find that interferes with my game play is Lag from my ISP! and the battlefield servers! As for the other games everything is maxed out!
Good choice go for it
