Problem when using my z70va's keyboard...

It jumps the cursor all over the place and I'm not sure why. I'll just be typing away as I am right now, and the cursor might go from where it's positioned at the moment to a previous line in the text I am typing. I am beginning to suspect the mouse pad as the culprit (I may be tapping it with my palms), but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem? I just want to make sure I don't have a defective keyboard.

Anyone?

look at your mouse settings under control panel. If you're using the Synaptics touchpad, make sure you look at the "tap zones" and adjust them to how you want, so you know what each of them does and can stop it from doing things you don't want.

Try disabling the touch pad to see if the problem goes away. And if it does - you're probably brushing it when you type

I have the same issue on every laptop i use. Even if you dont brush grazing over the touchpad with your thumb barely touching it for a microsec will do that. it can be a faulty touchpad if it really does it all by itself. Its posible. Normally its cause by just tapping the pad ever so lightly and the cursor is moved.
