XPS2 Bios in 9300

First off - warnings.

1) Don't use these files UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING.
2) You need the 9 cell battery OR the 130 W power brick to boot your system with the XPS 2 bios. There is no way around this. You also can't flash your system BACK to a 9300 bios unless you have BOTH of the items.
3) These only work in DOS. Get a boot disc of some sort that can read CD-ROMs and burn them to a cd. Or Find a way to boot DOS off a flash drive and etc. I don't care HOW you do it, but it ain't my problem.
4) Please don't use these UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING.
5) One bios is the XPS2 bios hacked to work in the 9300. The other bios is the 9300 bios hacked to work in the XPS (this is what you need to revert back to the 9300 bios on a 9300. Coincidentally, it will also flash a real XPS2 to use the 9300 bios, not that there is any point in that.)

What is the opportunity of putting XPSGen2 Bios into a i9300? It is for the Go 7800GTX card?

Just in case you want to switch back to the 9300 because you don't need the XPS Gen 2 Bios

Definately gonna do this and get my 6800 Ultra Go yay!

Out of curiosity, what would happen if you flashed the XPS2 with a 9300 bios? Would it run the 6800 go Ultra as a generic 6800 go?

Even after I flashed it to XPSGen2 Bios into my i9300 will it still able to run Go 6800 non-ultra?

I read your first question wrong:

The reason you want to flash your 9300 to an XPS Gen 2 is to run the 6800 Ultra.

I'm not sure if a 7800GTX works inthe XPS Gen 2. If it does, then it will work with this flash too

once you flash it to the XPS2, can you then procede to normally upgrade to the newsest XPS2 bios (ao4)? Or is it designed that u need another hacked bios of the newest version? ^ if its true that u can normally upgrade do u have to downgrade the bios before the flash back to the 9300?

if u have a 9cell battery but a 9300 charger will it still work (as in charge it)?

Isn't the plug different on the A/C Power brick (The plug that goes into the laptop)?

I coulda sworn they are different. If so, you'll need to modify a power brick and swap plugs or change the power socket on the laptop board.

XPS2 still own, but hey "I an't mad at ya " my bro-in'law has a 9300 so he can now get my ultra if/when I go for the 7800go. don't know if you were the one who modded this BIOS if so then mad props ( GIVE THE MAN SOME REP points people) come on don't be shy they are FREE

allright ,finally, the mod bios is out... now lets get this thing in the 9300 and make that 7800 gtx work!!! Personally, since i 'm a noob, i'll wait for the hardcore members of this forum to post a tutorial before i mod m laptop... after all, as long as i can play all the games out there.. m alryt.... On a side note... I hope we can make this thing work, just for the pure satisfaction of shutting some obnoxious xps2 owners out there...

Ok People, Thanks to Hazridi for providing us with the Hack Bios. Next: Lets get he show on the road and get our 9300 up to XPS speed. Let quit the mambojambo and get serious on this.
