1GB DDR2 PC2-5300 667Mhz

I am wondering which Mobo uses DDR2 PC2-5300 667Mhz. I9300, XPS Gen2 and M170 use DDR2 PC2-4200 533Mhz.

Could our Mobo support 667Mhz ram? I think it is depends on the frontbus speed.

There would pretty much be no point in going with that pc2-5300. The sonoma is FSB bottlenecked, higher speed ram make much of a difference.

It would just downclock it to PC2-4200. If we could ever overclock those would give us some nice head room, but, alas, we can't
