Fujitsu 3438 4438 and ir problem

Can someone please explain how to get the ir for remote control to work with other devices? I have updated with the latest bios and the option to disengage/engage the remote is there, but that didnt help. Shouldnt I find somekind of Ir-section in the control-panel or something?

there isnt a way to get your IR working with drivers. its inpossible. becouse the IR doesNT hava an real controller. its just a part of the keyboard. thats also wy your remote control works in dos modus. the remote control also dont hava a sender in it.

Mate, if ur remote control suddenly stopped working, like mine did, then try to remember if u've messed around with "msconfig" or the startup options. When I messed around with mine, I accidently turned off the remote and then thought my IR was broken. Try setting ur start up to a standard mode, where everything is turned on on start up and then try restarting ur comp, ur remote should work!
