Well, according to the owner's manual, that's neither a 700m, nor a 710m. Why doesn't it have a brand name on it? Also, why is it so thick?

Those pics look a lot like the original ODM pics of the 700m before it became a 700m, isn't it really a Samsung?

there is no tray that pops out, you just stick in a cd like a car cd player. when i get some time, ill take some real pictures. just to let you know, dell doesnt make their "own" laptops. those pics i posted are odm pictures. without the badge.

Dell Xps M140 Is A Rebranded Inspiron 630m

Just got the XPS Experience magazine for 11/2005, and it's on the front cover... 5.5lbs *Bulky*, seems about 1.3-1.5" thick, with a big battery sticking out the side.

5.5 lbs doesn't seem too bad.
