The flip side is that Microsoft is addressing this with DX 91. due out in March, which may be a long time to wait.
As mentioned in DOZENS of other threads, it's a situation of opportunity cost:
If you want performance choose ATI but you will lose out on stability. Vice versa; If you want stability chose NVIDIA but you will lose out on performance. It's all a matter of which is more important to you.

Yeah, I was the one who got the 3100 score but I overclocked a little. The average score with the ati is 2800-2900.
Thats still better than my overclocked Nvidia at 2817. Even if 3DMark is a bod tool for benchmarking it still shows the difference in the DX9 speed for the ATI.
