People at clevo are complete MORONS!
The driver has a size of 55MB, just because there is the %#&^*&^% Acrobat reader and the DirectX 9.0b redistributable. I cannot believe I down-junk-loaded 55MB to get a single driver, only to find a bundle of useless software.

As if that wasn't enough, the driver won't install in Windows 2003 Server. It pops up some messages like "Now windows is searching for the driver, at system tray", "Now the *whatever* message will appear", and closing with "The driver has been installed", while no New hardware wizard showed up, and of course, no %@#^%$^ driver installed.

I'm trying to find a way to extract the driver from the cab files. Stupid morons...

Someone Needs to NUKE this post....

i extracted the cabs, manually installed the drivers, and low and behold, currently (i may beable to hack it to work) but this driver set is NOT for our cam, and if it is.... it's not WHQLed, and IT's FOOOOBARRED!!!

EDIT : DriverVer=12/17/2004,1.1.5.1... last time i checked, that is ALMOST LAST YEAR! hehe...
EDIT 2 : it DOES contain drivers for our cam, but old and on my system were missing a DLL, toshibia VM cam driver) oh well.... next project.

Maybe you should stop going to Clevo for drivers and wait for Sager to repackage them normally instead of complaining about size.
bloated packaged drivers are a norm now, but the issue, which seems to be the drivers, is that, 50% of the time these drivers install and work, OK other times, they won't on account "not for this hardware" i have done 12 installs of webcam drivers for our system sence lastnight, all drivers from all versions of the ALI M5603C chipset WILL WORK, just some not as well as others, due to which CCD/CMOS they use, from the .1mega pixel to the 1.3 megapixel, they all work, and they all work like crap... oh well, back to linux/vista for me, where things work.

And that is what I am going to do. Wait for sager, and hope for normal .inf/.sys files
