new Z63A won't post err

Hi, just got my Z63a today.
Will the Z63A post with out the RAM? my ram will arrive on a day or so.
I want to see if my old Banias CPU will work.

Could someone let me know whether the screen should turn on with out the ram or not?

No, it definately will not. It won't run unless you have ram installed in. Hope your ram arrives quickly.

Check if your ram is installed correctly or not. That's usually the case, loose ram.

I rechecked the RAM and it's still not booting.

Oh, you have a Banias in there? I'm pretty sure the Banias isn't compatible with the 915GM chipset.

I popped a 1.7a dothan in there and it worked!!!
