This is a rather odd question, but I understand that these models can be configured with dual optical drives. What happens when you only opt for one? What does it look like?

Also, does the 12.5 pound weight factor in the "worst case" scenario where you have 2 hard drives and 2 optical drives or is it citing for a lighter configuration?
