Dell 5150 - Advice/Help?

I am on the verge of grabbing a new Dell I5150. My specs will be:

3.2 M Pentium
15 UXGA
60 gb 7200
32 or 64 video - not sure yet
1300 Wireless card

Does anyone have a 5150? Happy with it? Unhappy? I was deciding between this and the 8600 and when I saw both of them at the Dell stand in the mall, I made my decision to go with the 5150. But I would love to hear anyone who has stories about this model.. good or bad.

Thanks a million

I have two at work, and they are heavy and when the fans are on noisy. By heavy it all depends what your going to do with it that makes the difference. Walk from your car to your desk no problem. Walk with it in a bag straped on to your shoulder to classes and meetings and what not and it may be a burden. But the machine I use is a field laptop (meaning we take it out in the field when we do reaserch, I work for the NSF) and I find the case to be sturdy and it overall to be a good machine.

Thanks for the reply, it will actually be a desktop replacement. So if i do move it.. it will just be around the house. nothing major. Also, I know a lot of people are crying Widescreen.. but I just cant seem to get into them. Do you use the 5150 for gaming or anything of that nature, or just work related tasks?

Well I havent been able to play any games on it. But there is a program that we use for stastical analysis of variance that eats up cpu's and the program can run on that lappy (its called Statview) Like I said over all a good laptop (not sure gaming quality maybe you can find a review online) kinda heavy and a little noisy with fans but if you dont plan on taking it out of the house I dont see where a drawback for you would be. Just try a google search like '5150 review' or something to that nature.

The 5150 should be a solid, dependable workhorse, which is what it looks like Dell is going for these days.

If you want a cool toy though, you are going to be disappointed. Gaming on the 5150 is far worse than gaming on the much older I8200.
